BlackBerry announces devices on BB10 OS

The BlackBerry 10 launch at New York took off in a style with talks about the journey of transformation that renamed  Research In Motion as BlackBerry. While the event was about the much awaited launch stage for the BlackBerry 10, the company also announced two smartphones that will be running the BlackBerry 10.Thorsten Heins, CEO of Research in Motion, which is changing its name to BlackBerry, is seen in Toronto on a video link from New York as he introduces the BlackBerry 10, on Wednesday.

The BB Z10 is a complete touch device with a 4.2-inch capacitive display. The Z10 packs in Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor paired with 2GB RAM. There will also be a 16GB onboard storage along with the expandable memory of up to 32 GB. There is also an 8MP camera that can draw on benefits from the BB10 operating system.

With the world moving towards compete touch displays, BlackBerry catered to an audience that could not do without a QWERTY keypad.

Continuing to offer trademark QWERTY to the loyal customers, BlackBerry has also announced the Q10 smartphone. The BlackBerry Q10 will have a 3.1-inch display with 720x720 resolution. It will have a TI OMAP 1.5GHz dual-core processor along with 2GB RAM. Wi-Fi; Assisted, Autonomous, and Simultaneous GPS; NFC; microUSB; microHDMI-Out and Bluetooth 4.0 are some of the connectivity features onboard. The back of the Q10 has been crafted of glass-weave material, which the company claims is exclusive to the BB Q10 only. However, the BlackBerry Q10 will only go on sale in April.
